KPMG Tomorrow's Market Award 2009
In 2009 the KPMG Tomorrow's Market Award was given to Imina Technologies, a start-up company whose micro-robots could revolutionize nano-manipulation. With the backing of the Confederation's innovation promotion agency (CTI start-up) in particular, the young company has already attracted interest from several research centers in Switzerland and Europe.
KPMG Tomorrow's Market Award 2008
The KPMG Tomorrow´s Market Award for 2008 went to Jochen Mundiger for the development of routeRANK, a travel solution that combines practical, efficient and environmentally friendly aspects of travel planning. With one click you see the most convenient means of transportation (by airplane, train, bus, car or on foot) in terms of speed and CO2 emissions. Jochen Mundiger´s company is already established in the Parc Scientifique of the EPFL.
KPMG Tomorrow's Market Award 2007
In 2007 the KPMG Tomorrow´s Market Award was given to Sai Reddy for his work in the development of a completely new approach to vaccine technology. It is remarkably simple, highly effective and combines bio- and nano-technology. Sai Reddy is now working with the Swiss Tropical Institute in Basel to develop a vaccine against malaria.
KPMG Tomorrow's Market Award 2006
The first KPMG Tomorrow´s Market Award 2006 was given to Christof Faller for his work in the field of digital audio editing. He set up his own company, Illusonic, before entering into a partnership with one of the world's biggest players in the audiovisual industry. Illusonic continues to develop products and devices for some of the top brands in the industry.
Imina Technologies received the KPMG Tomorrow's Market Award 2009. It is a start-up company that developed a micro-robot, which could revolutionize nano-manipulation.
